Long live AKK! I love the house, and I suspect I always will! Living at AKK was a true highlight of med school - I was a resident for 4 years and house co-president for 2 of those years. We worked hard on house improvement projects, recruitment, and initiation of the AKK Alumni Project. Parties were wild, friendships were strong, and there was rarely a dull moment. Bat-catching in the hallways, pumpkin parties, plastic tubs of jungle juice, football in the yard, lifting downstairs, endless bowls of cereal and milk . . . I never realized how much I would miss living in the house until I graduated. Glad to hear it's still thriving with a great new crew of students every year! After med school, I was in a flurry of weddings (one being my own) and moved to Chicago to start residency. After this prelim internal medicine year, I will complete an MPH and start specialty training in Preventive Medicine at the New York State Dept. of Health in Albany. I lived at AKK from Jan. 1982, till about summer of 1984. What an experience! (Mostly very positive). I'm getting married, probably in Sept., 2007. All friends are invited to the ceremony and reception; a favor of a reply is appreciated with number of people. I worked at Edwards Elementary School during the last school year. I was an AKK resident my freshman year and attended all the house functions I could throughout Med. School. Mrs. Davies was our housemother and what a wonderful 4 years it was. I stopped by the house this summer but nobody was around, however I am very glad to see that things are still going strong. Don Abrams
